At last some lay outs

It seems only yesterday was Christmas, I have no idea where the weeks have gone, but I am so pleased that over the last two weekends I have finally found the time to complete some layouts.(and update my blog)
The photo frame of Rylan was so much fun. Trent asked me to make a gift for his friend Stacey, her little boy is 3-4 months old and the photos are so gorgeous.
The work boots and work shirts lay out was designed as a weekly challenge for RTlicious. Design a page using photos that do not display people, upload your layout onto the RTlicious.ning.com website.
The photos on the next layout were taken January 2009 when we were holidaying in our home town of Emmaville, northern NSW. Trent and Aleesha have always been best friends as well as cousins. they caught up with each other at the annual Deepwater Races.
The last double layout is of Jordan at the school ball with Vanessa last year, I know I am really behind. It was very special to see him dressed up in a suit, and Bec straightened his hair as well.

RTlicious retreat

The scrapbooking retreat hosted by RTlicious on the 6th & 7th February was awesome. These are some of the workshops that we all completed. Congratulations to Rhonda and Tenaha for such an enjoyable weekend.

Sad Goodbye

One of the downfalls of living in Newman is the town's transient nature. All too often you have to say farewell to friends that move on. Olivia's friend, Zoe, is leaving soon to relocate to Perth. Olivia and Zoe started school together and as we live only a couple of houses apart are always at each others house playing together. Although we will miss Zoe, Phoebe and Wendy, they are keeping their house in Newman and will back to visit each school holidays. Olivia helped me create this little gift for her friend to hang on the wall of her new bedroom. We both enjoyed playing with the fairies and butterflies. Now we will have to make another one for Olivia.

Milly's antics

Milly has had a great time trying to destroy our Christmas tree. She has even carried one Christmas ball into her box under the scratching pole. Hope she does not try and chew on the lights when they are plugged in!

17 December 09

This is my first attempt at a blogspot. So please be patient with me.

This is the birdhouse I made as my handmade gift for the Secret Santa at our Christmas morning tea for the Red Dirt Quilting club. I enjoyed it so much I think I will have to make another one for me to keep.
